Who we are

jobvina is a New Zealand job board operated by Vina Page Limited, Auckland, New Zealand. This policy is written to meet the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

If you are looking for work: your name, email address, phone number if you give us one, the CV you upload, and the profile details you fill in — your skills, experience, preferred locations and your right to work in New Zealand.

We do not collect your age, date of birth, sex, marital or family status, ethnicity, religion or health information, and we do not want them. A New Zealand employer may not select on any of those, so this platform does not hold them.

If you are an employer: your name, work email, and your company's details.

What we do with your CV

When you upload a CV, an artificial-intelligence service reads it and turns it into structured fields — your skills, your roles and dates, your qualifications. We show you what it found and you decide what to keep. Nothing is written to your profile until you accept it.

Your right to work is never set for you, even when we can read it. It is a legal declaration and only you can make it.

Your CV file is stored privately. An employer can read it only when you have applied to one of their jobs.

How we match you to jobs

We score how well your profile fits a job using the details you have given us: your skills against the requirements, your experience, your location, the type of work you want, your pay expectations, your availability, and whether you hold the right to work the role requires.

We never score on your name, age, sex, ethnicity or anything derived from them.

Who we share it with

Employers you apply to. Nobody else. We do not sell your details.

Marketing email

We send job alerts only if you ask for them, and you can turn them off at any time. Business contact details we use for our own marketing are handled under the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, and every such message carries a working unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You can see everything we hold about you, correct it, download it, or delete your account. Deleting removes your CV file and anonymises the applications you have already sent — the employer keeps the application, but not your identity.
