Own discovery to delivery on real products for NZ small businesses
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to sit between our clients and our development team. You will run discovery with business owners, turn what they need into clear requirements, and stay with the work through delivery so what ships is what was agreed. We build websites, CRM and cashback products for small businesses across New Zealand. The team is small, so you will own your projects end to end and have a real say in how we build them. This is a full-time role based in Auckland, with some flexibility to work from home.
What you will do
- Run discovery workshops with clients and turn the outcome into clear written requirements
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria the dev team can build from without guessing
- Map current and future process flows, and flag the gaps and risks early
- Work with design and engineering through the build, and sign off that what shipped matches the spec
What you will need
- 5+ years as a business analyst, ideally on software or digital projects
- Strong written English and the confidence to lead a workshop with business owners
- Experience with user stories, process mapping and requirements documentation
- Comfortable working with tools like Jira, Figma and Confluence (or similar)
